This avalanche safety kit from Arva is a compact rescue pack that’s light in the backpack and effective in the field, for a wide audience who wants to rediscover the mountains.
What’s in the kit?
- Arva Evo5 Beacon:
The EVO5 capitalizes on Arva’s 35-year expertise to fit in the palm of your hand.
Arva’s R&D team pushed the size/performance ratio past the edge of the envelope to create a device that fits perfectly in your jacket pocket.
With a 50m search stripwidth, group check, marking function, and an automatic revert-to-transmit mode, the EVO5 is jam-packed with all of the essential functions needed to rescue an avalanche victim.
Equipped with a backlit screen and speaker that emits a precise, modulated beep, this transceiver will efficiently and effectively guide you to the burial zone.
The Evo5 has new software and a locking slider in the "off" position to keep the beacon from accidentally being turned on when not in use.
- Three antennas keep you headed in the right direction, no matter the beacon orientation or model.
- A Group Check feature streamlines trailhead checks
- Auto-revert (AR) keeps rescuers safe in the event of secondary burial and can be customized in settings to fit your preferences.
- A single AA battery (23g) saves weight
- Manages signal interference (don't ask how, all we know is that it works really well).
- Mark (multi-burial) function
- Evo5 Holster:
The EVO5 holster has been designed to allow optimal use of the device. The EVO5 connection cord with a carabiner allows the user to attach the device to the holster easily. The waist strap can be disconnected from the holster and transformed into a belt. *This item is also compatible with EVO5.
